The Waco McLennan County Library located at 717 Austin Ave. Waco, TX 76701 received complete renovations to its 33,940 square foot building. The exterior facade was refurbished, granite panels replaced, and a new entry was created on the North side of the building. The interior of the entire facility was completely updated. Colors, materials, and special layouts of the interior were redesigned to maximize the natural day lighting that this building is known for. Lower floors were updated to give the library a fresh new feel. Site improvements were made all around the building. The North entry received a new stairwell and staging area. The West courtyard was elevated and enclosed to make it an extension of the interior space. Neon lights were added at the corner of Austin and 18th street to assure the library stands out.
